Having worked with Michael for the majority of my career, I have seen first-hand his remarkable ability to take a brief, bring it to fruition & go well beyond a client’s expectations.
Everyone who he has worked with recognises his rare & exceptional talent. Michael’s unique attention to detail & creative flare is unmatched in our industry & his work speaks for itself.
Michael creates brave and bold interiors, encouraging clients out of their comfort zones to realise a room’s full potential. He has been both a mentor & an inspiration to me.
There is no one else I would have liked to go into business with more & I am excited to see what the future holds for Novak & Parkes Designs.

Abby Parkes

Let me tell you about Abby…
I first met Abby whilst working for a previous employer when she was a young apprentice. Although we only worked together briefly, it was obvious to me that this young lady had a very bright future ahead of her.
A few years later our paths crossed again when I got to work with her at a different company & my initial observations about her were confirmed. Her strong work ethic & natural design talent are a winning combination.
Abby is bursting with creative ideas. She is forward-thinking, has a great technical eye & her ability to quickly & easily learn new skills always amazes me.
Nearly 6 years later I’m extremely proud to be able to call her my business partner & I’m very excited to be on this journey with her.

Kate Donowski
INTERIOR DESIGNER
What can we say about Kate…
With a background in commercial and hospitality interiors, Kate brings a strong technical foundation to the studio, spanning spatial planning, interior architecture, joinery detailing and bespoke furniture design.
Calm, focused and instinctively creative, she has a sharp eye for the detail that can transform a scheme from good to exceptional. Her work balances technical precision with a confident design instinct, ensuring spaces feel both considered and characterful.
Equally comfortable resolving layouts or shaping the wider creative direction of a project, Kate brings clarity, energy and a design-led perspective to the studio. She has quickly become an integral part of the Novak & Parkes team.

Dani Castle
INTERIOR DESIGNER
The thing about Dani is…
Dani joins the studio as an interior designer, bringing a naturally creative approach and an intuitive understanding of colour. She has a real talent for building palettes that feel bold yet balanced, creating schemes with warmth, depth and personality.
Calm, assured and quietly confident, Dani brings a steady presence to the studio. She approaches design with clarity and intent, trusting her instincts while remaining grounded in how spaces are actually lived in.
Her eye for colour and relaxed confidence in her decisions make her a fantastic addition to Novak & Parkes, and we are very pleased to have her as part of the team.
